Position: Special Education Teacher, Long-Term Substitute

About Becker District/School:
Becker School District is conveniently located off of US Hwy 10, just 20 minutes SE from St. Cloud and 45 minutes NW from the Twin Cities. The District consists of four buildings, all situated on a single, cohesive campus and serves approximately 2,800 students – Primary School (K-2), Intermediate School (3-5), Middle School (6-8), and High School (9-12). Becker’s mission is to develop self-directed learners to thrive in a changing global community.

Position Summary:
Becker Middle School is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to serve as a long-term substitue in our special education department, working with students in grades 6-8. 

Start date: October 29, 2024
Schedule: 1 FTE
Contract Dates: Approximately October 29, 2024 – November 25, 2024

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Hold a current Minnesota teaching license in a special education field.
  • Experience teaching school-age students.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and positively with a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Knowledge and experience with due process procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience with conflict resolution.
