Special Education Paraeducator – Resource

The Mankato School District has positions available for Special Education Paraeducators (Resource). Positions are available in Early Learning, Elementary, Middle School, and High School sites.. Both full-time and part-time positions are available for the 2024-25 school year.

Summary of Duties: 
Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, assist the special and general teachers in providing instruction to individuals or small groups of special education students in an assigned educational program; assist children with meeting the goals and objectives of their Individualized Education Plan (IEP); attend to the physical and health needs of students; monitor and report student progress regarding educational performance; perform a variety of clerical and supportive duties related to classroom activities and classroom management.

Candidates must meet one of the following criteria to qualify for this position:

  • 60-semester credits (or two years full-time at an institute of higher education)
  • or an Associate’s degree (AA, AS, AAS) or a cut score of at least 460 on the ParaPro Assessment

Pay:
Starting $17.09 – $18.19 per hour.
