Edina Public Schools is seeking exceptional candidates with a proven record of success for a Middle School Principal position scheduled to begin on July 1, 2023 at South View Middle School. The successful candidate will provide educational leadership by implementing educational and district initiatives at the building level. Duties will include directing, supervising, and overseeing all student learning programs, personnel, and building operations while creating a culturally competent and inclusive environment that enhances student learning.  The Middle School Principal collaborates and works closely with other administrators, staff, students, and the public in addressing and meeting the educational needs and goals of the district, its students and families, and in performing various public relation responsibilities within the community.

Qualifications: A master’s degree in education and a Minnesota principal license are required. A minimum of three (3) years of administrative experience supervising instructional programming and staff is preferred. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work collaboratively and independently to achieve school district goals. A strong instructional background and extensive experience in teacher evaluations are required. 

Compensation: This is a twelve-month position with an excellent salary and benefits package pursuant to the Edina Administrative Council’s work agreement.
