ISD #2687 has the following Softball coaching positions available for the 2023-24 school year:

Two Junior High Softball Coach positions (7th & 8th grades). Coaches will be responsible for leading the HLWW Girls Softball team and program within the philosophy of the HLWW Activities Department and in accordance with the MSHSL. This person must build relationships and work successfully with student-athletes, assistant coaches, parents, the community, the Activities Director, school administration, as well as other programs and coaches in the district.

Pay per Master Agreement

Job Goals: 

  • To instruct athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy and physical training necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success.¬†

  • At the same time, the coach must instruct and demonstrate behaviors that lead to socially acceptable character development, self-discipline, self-confidence, and pride of accomplishment in the student athletes.¬†

  • To upgrade his/her knowledge and skills through coaching clinics, observations, consultation, etc.¬†

Public Relations:

  • Organizes parents, coaches, players and guests for preseason meetings.¬†

  • Promotes HLWW activities¬†within the school and outside of the school through news media, traveling programs, or in any other feasible manner.¬†

  • Responsible for the quality, effectiveness and validity of any oral or written release to local media.¬†

  • Responsible for maintaining good public relations with news media, booster club, parents, officials, volunteers and fans.¬†

  • Presents information to news media concerning schedules, tournaments and results.

High School

HLWW High School opened its new facility in 2008.  With a wide-variety of core and elective offerings, our faculty and students create a well-rounded, high achieving, educational program.  With a nationally recognized FFA program, advanced placement courses, college in the schools opportunities, and a wide variety of clubs, activities, and student organizations, HLWW High School sets itself apart from the rest of Minnesota high schools.

 Middle School

HLWW Middle School opened its new facility in 2015.  Serving grades five through eight, our Middle School staff establishes a sound foundation of core subjects, with an emphasis on incorporating a well-balanced approach to literacy.  Students have the opportunity to explore many other subject areas including technology, music (band and choir for all grades), industrial tech, physical education/health, and art.

 We offer many different activities and sports for students to participate in and supplement all those experiences with the support of a quality advisory program and support services for all our students’ needs.
