Qualifications/Experience:
Minnesota teaching license required.
Secondary Social Studies license is required.
Successful background check.
Experience with High School students preferred.
Candidates are eligible to teach, or willing to pursue eligibility to teach concurrent enrollment courses (Master’s Degree in Psychology and/or Sociology, or Masters’s Degree with 18 credits in Psychology and/or Sociology) preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Needed:
Thorough knowledge of the subject(s) taught; thorough knowledge of elementary, secondary, or special education principles, practices, and procedures; thorough knowledge of the principles and methodology of effective teaching; thorough knowledge of District rules, regulations, and procedures; ability to establish and maintain standards of behavior; ability to deliver articulate oral presentations and written reports; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, students, and parents.

Specific Tasks:
Provide an ideal, positive learning environment with learning opportunities for students in academics, social skills, and recreational activities with a comprehensive and global-based education. Instruct students in individual or group sessions providing students with multiple instructional strategies in various learning settings. Develop, translate, and integrate lesson plans, content, technology, and instructional materials into learning experiences; develop Individual Educational Programs to meet student needs. Establish positive relationships to be encouraging, guiding, coaching, and supporting. Adapt teaching materials and methods to develop relevant sequential assignments that guide and challenge students. Provide the accommodation/modification outlined in the student’s IEPs. Identify, formulate, implement, and maintain behavior standards and modification programs for students. Enter and maintain records in software packages as required. See the job description.
