Social Studies (Grades 7-12) for 2023-2024
Position Purpose: Under the general supervision of the School Principal, the teacher will provide instruction in the content area in accordance with each student’s ability and create a classroom environment that fosters student learning and personal growth. Establish effective working relationships with students and parents, and work collaboratively with other staff members.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in social studies education or related field.

Minnesota teaching license in social studies or ability to obtain one.

Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective lesson plans and assessments.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues.

Passion for social studies education and commitment to promoting student learning and success.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Needed:
Thorough knowledge of subject(s) taught;Â thorough knowledge of the principles and methodology of effective teaching;Â ability to establish and maintain standards of behavior; ability to deliver articulate oral presentations and written reports; and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, students and parents.

Specific Tasks:
