Description
Secretary – Class B – PURCHASING
Full Time  260 days/8 hrs/day
Duties:  Review and process district invoices. Verify payment documentation and account codes. Knowledge of check register reporting and check printing. Work with district warehouse staff to resolve receiving discrepancies. Contact vendors for tax id, billing, returns, damaged goods, shipping shortages, credits memos and contact information. Maintain files. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: Â High school diploma or equivalent; ability / desire to use computer for word processing, record keeping and information retrieval; good oral and written communication and organizational skills; accuracy and attention to detail; Â flexibility; ability / desire to work cooperatively with department, district staff and public; Â ability to perform position responsibilities including physical factors, work devices and materials handling, data functions, and people functions. Â Must be physically working in the building.
Preferred Qualifications:  Previous accounts payable or purchasing/invoice process experience preferred. Detail oriented and ability to multi-task in a busy and diverse environment preferred. Excellent customer service skills preferred. Working knowledge of Skyward, Excel, Word, Access, Gmail, and Internet preferred.
Rate of pay: $20.45/hour. Insurance benefits available for assigned positions of 6 hours or more per day and 194 days per year.
Start Date: Â ASAP after closing.
