HOPE Community Academy is an accredited, public co-educational charter school comprised of primary, intermediate, middle school, and high school levels. Hope Community Academy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Secondary Math Teacher to join our team for the upcoming school year. As a Secondary Math Teacher, you will play a vital role in educating and inspiring students in the field of mathematics.
Primary duties: (These duties are a representative sample; position assignments may vary.)
• Develop and implement engaging and challenging lesson plans that adhere to the curriculum guidelines.
• Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments and provide constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students and provide additional support as needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and stakeholders to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
• Stay updated on current educational trends, resources, and best practices in secondary math education.
• Participate in professional development opportunities and school-wide initiatives to enhance teaching skills and contribute to the school community.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Valid MN teaching certification in Secondary Math Tier 3 or 4 preferred.
• Proven experience teaching math at the secondary level.
• Strong knowledge of math curriculum standards and instructional strategies.
• Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
• Passion for teaching and inspiring students to excel in mathematics.
Professional Accountabilities:
• Maintains professional competence by attending staff development programs, curriculum development meetings and other professional activities.
• Participates in various school events, staff meetings and extracurricular activities.
• Performs any other related duties as assigned by the Principal or other appropriate administrator.
• Serve as a role model for promoting effective instruction and professionalism
Working Environment:
• Duties are normally performed in a school/classroom environment; school building is a multi-level building that has an elevator and is accessible
• Position requires extensive interaction with children of all ages
• Duties may occasionally be performed on field trips away from school
• Duties may occasionally be performed in outdoor environments, such as athletic fields or playgrounds
• Duties may occasionally be performed in varying weather conditions, such as hot or cold weather.
• Possible exposure to loud and noisy locations (e.g. loud classrooms or cafeterias; children speaking or laughing loudly).
