Science Teacher- Secondary (Grades 7th-12) 2023-2024
Courses: Chemistry, M/S Sciences

Position Purpose 

– ¬†Under the general supervision of the School Principal, to develop students’ skills and competence in one or more fields of science, including general science, life¬†science, and¬†chemistr; develops students skills and abilities in scientific methods and problem-solving, as well as an understanding of the application of science in the solution of practical problems.¬†

Preferred qualifications:

  • 9-12 MN Chemistry¬† Teaching License

    Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree and in interest in entering the education field
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective lesson plans and assessments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues.

  • Passion for social science education and commitment to promoting student learning and success.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Needed:

Thorough knowledge of subject(s) taught;  thorough knowledge of the principles and methodology of effective teaching;  ability to establish and maintain standards of behavior; ability to deliver articulate oral presentations and written reports; and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, students and parents.
