Benton-Stearns Education District is accepting applications for licensed school psychologists or school psychology interns. Additional positions may become available upon board approval.
Anticipated Start Date: Mid-August 2025
Salary: Salary ranges from $57,327.00 – $98,015.00. Placement is per the EdMN Benton-Stearns Master Agreement and is based on education and experience
Other Compensation: Mileage reimbursement based on current IRS standard business mileage rate. Paid professional development opportunities including out of state travel.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

To support our member districts in their effort to proactively intervene with students through a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS).

To support general education and special education students’ academic growth, social development, and mental and behavioral health using problem solving, assessment, data-based decision-making, and the delivery of evidenced-based interventions.

Be a member of a collaborative team of school staff.

To support the implementation of culturally responsive practices that lead to equitable outcomes of all students, particularly those who are over-represented in special education.

To assist districts with crisis response procedures, including the completion of risk assessments.

School Psychologists are assigned to member districts based on enrollment.

School psychologists are supervised by the Executive Director.

Members of the school psychologist team meet regularly to collaborate on due process, workloads, and to generally support the professional development of each team member.
Candidates pursuing a paid internship position will work closely with a member of our school psychologist team to develop expertise and independence.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Qualified applicants will have completed an accredited graduate degree program at the specialist-level (e.g., Psy.S, Ed.S., M.A. + CAGS; M.A. + CAS; M.S./M.A.) or higher requiring a minimum of 60 graduate semester hours of study and a 1200 hour supervised internship in School Psychology, with a minimum of 600 hours in a school setting.
Valid driver's license in the State of Minnesota and ability to drive to various locations.
Ability to lift and transport necessary equipment.

At Benton-Stearns Education District (BSED), you will be a member of a team of roughly 100 talented staff. We provide a variety of specialized services including school psychology, occupational therapy, physical therapy, support for students with physical or sensory impairments, and early childhood special education services.

BSED provides support to six member school districts that have joined together to provide services in the area of special education. These districts include: Foley, Holdingford, Kimball, ROCORI, Sartell-St. Stephen, and Sauk Rapids-Rice.

Additionally, BSED has Level 4, residential, and adult learner programs across three area locations. The BSED main office is located in Sartell, MN which is a suburb of St. Cloud.
