Aitkin Public Schools is seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Nurse to join our team. This position is a key part of our commitment to ensuring the health and well-being of our students and staff.

 

Key Responsibilities:

    •    Provide direct nursing care to students, including first aid, health screenings, and emergency interventions.

    •    Develop, implement, and monitor individual health care plans for students with specific medical needs.

    •    Administer medications and ensure compliance with medical protocols and school policies.

    •    Collaborate with parents, teachers, and administrators to address student health concerns.

    •    Maintain accurate health records and documentation in accordance with district policies and state regulations.

    •    Promote health education initiatives and wellness programs within the school community.

    •    Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and healthcare providers.

 

Qualifications:

    •    Bachelor in Nursing with a Public Health Nurse certificate

    •    Licensed School Nurse preferred

    •    CPR and First Aid Certification required.

    •    Previous experience in pediatrics, public health, or school nursing is an asset.

    •    Strong organizational and communication skills.

    •    Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a school setting.
