POSITION START DATE:   2023-2024 School Year

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Appropriately licensed as a school counselor or school social worker in the state of Minnesota

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Current knowledge of the community resources and support systems available to assist students and their families
• Ability to deal effectively and appropriately with students, parents and other educational professionals regarding student concerns and problems
• Ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
• Ability to consult with school personnel in developing and implementing effective social and behavioral interventions for students, including services to students on IEPs
• Ability to be flexible and prioritize activities
• Computer literacy skills
• Ability to develop and implement effective social and behavioral interventions for students
• Knowledge of student scheduling
• Knowledge of PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) 
• Knowledge of MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) 
• Knowledge of CASEL Framework (Collaborative for Academic Social and Emotional Learning)
