School Bus Route Driver Needed for 2024-25 School Year
Are you a responsible and reliable individual with a passion for ensuring the safety of children? We are seeking a dedicated school bus route driver to join Rothsay Public School for morning and after-school shifts in the 2024-25 school year. There could be some substitute driving and extracurricular driving as soon as the current school year. The pay for this position is dependent upon experience. If you have no experience – no problem – we will train you at the school district’s expense.
Job Description:
As a school bus route driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school daily. Your primary duty will be to ensure the safety and well-being of the students while maintaining a timely schedule. You will need to adhere to all traffic and safety regulations, conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus, and maintain a clean and orderly vehicle. Additionally, you will need to communicate effectively with school staff, parents, and students.
Qualifications:
- Valid commercial driver’s license (Class B CDL) with school bus endorsement/passenger endorsement
- Clean driving record
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to maintain discipline amongst the students on your bus
- Knowledge of traffic laws and safe driving practices
Pay and Benefits:
The pay for this position is dependent upon experience. Drivers with no experience will be paid just over $90 per day (morning/afternoon) next school year.
