Notice of Opening
Reading Support Paraprofessional

Eden Prairie Schools has an opening for a Reading Support Paraprofessional.  The Reading Support Paraprofessional provides scripted instructional matches in reading for students needing additional modeling and practice of letter sounds, word blending, or oral reading fluency. 
 
 

Location:
Central Middle School

Classification and
Rate of Pay:
MSEA 2, $20.30 / hour 

Hours/Day, Days/Week, Days/Year:
6.5 hours/day, 3 days/week, 17 (approx.) days/ year

Work Schedule:
Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, 9:15 AM – 4:15 PM

Education:

  • – High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience:

  • – One year experience working with children.

Qualifications:

  • – Demonstrated knowledge of and the ability to read and provide scripted instructional matches to build reading skills. 
  • – Enjoy tutoring the subject for which services are being provided.
  • – Be able to explain concepts to others effectively 
  • – Effectively communicate instructional matches to ensure academic success 
  • – Work comfortably with students from diverse backgrounds 
  • – Possess good organizational skills and complete paperwork in a timely manner 
  • – Exhibit patience and positive attitudes in establishing an encouraging learning environment.
