Workday/Year:  7:30-3:30 M-F; 183 day contract (appx)

About Zumbro Education District: ZED is an education district serving six member districts that include  Byron, Blooming Prairie, Hayfield, Kasson-Mantorville, Stewartville, and Triton.  ZED offers a wide array of general education and special education services to our member districts (please refer to www.zumbroed.org for details). The ALC serves at-risk students in grades 6-12. ZED has been in existence for over 30 years and is located in Kasson (MN) which is 16 miles away from the city of Rochester (MN). 

Job Summary:  The Reading Interventionist (ADSIS teacher) delivers academic programming in the area of reading and writing.  ADSIS is a program designed to prevent students from being referred to Special Education services.The interventionist will administer reading interventions to increase academic achievement in reading, writing and success in all classes.  Regular collaboration with administrators, regular education teachers and special education teachers is essential.  The interventionist implements small group, differentiated instruction with a focus on personalized learning; embeds social-emotional learning, various technologies and a variety of pedagogical approaches into daily activities; establishes effective classroom management with a focus on restorative practices; communicates effectively with all stakeholders.
