Requirements:

A baccalaureate degree or a master's degree in social work from a Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) accredited program.

Licensure from the Minnesota Board on Social Work and Minnesota Department of Education
​Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with Multilingual Learners and Families
-
Technology skills in Google Workspace (Gmail, Classroom, Drive, Slides, Docs ,etc)
Summary of Duties:
-
Counsel students with personal and psychological issues that affect their performance, behavior, and socialization in school
-
Participate actively in trainings, staff meetings, and the life of the school
-
Form and maintain positive relationships with diverse students, families, and staff
-
Communicate with parents, teachers, and administrators to understand students' challenges
-
Maintain case files and reports to track students' progress and problems
-
Working with parents to facilitate their support in their children's school adjustment.
-
Alleviating family stress to enable the child to function more effectively in school & community.
-
Assisting parents to access programs available to students with special needs.
-
Assisting parents in accessing and utilizing school and community resources.
