Job Summary:
Responsible for planning PEM HS Prom and Grand March in collaboration with a student volunteer prom committee. Time commitment will vary throughout the year.Â

Essential Responsibilities

Make determinations on, and communicate with outside vendors

Communicate with school administration and necessary staff (ex. Custodial staff)

Organize and coordinate set up, supervision, take down
-
Coordinate the sale of tickets and permission for outside guests
-
Make location arrangements and determine set-up schedulesÂ

Finances & Purchasing
-
Maintain finances related to prom and stay within budgetÂ
-
Make appropriate purchases and secure materials needed for the eventÂ
-
Coordinate and manage fundraising
-

Public Relations & SupervisionÂ
-
Arrange for prom chaperonesÂ
-
Determine plans for programs, tickets, prices, any PR announcementsÂ

Ensure proper supervision of set up, events, takedown

Arrange for clean-upÂ

Ensure all entities have the materials needed (cash boxes, cords, etc.) during the night of promÂ

Manage student volunteer prom committee
-
Additional prom responsibilities as assignedÂ

Qualifications:
-
Strong organizational, communication, and budgetary skills
-
Able to manage and work with high school students
-
Event planning experience (preferred)

Compensation:
Stipend: Year 1 1250, Year 2 1500, Year 3 1750
