Location: Early Learning School – ELS or Elementary School or District (multiple locations)
Hours Per Week: 40
Schedule: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm  Monday through Friday
Starting Wage: $20.43

 

We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and energetic Inclusion Assistant to join our team!

Position Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the teacher in creating a positive learning environment and providing high-quality instruction and care to our preschoolers, teaching preschool skills, supporting student needs and behaviors, as well as monitoring and keeping records on student progress. The position requires flexibility as the placement will be determined by student needs and may shift throughout the year.  This is a school year position.  Opportunities available for summer employment.

As an Inclusion Assistant you will…

  • Plan and execute age-appropriate, stimulating activities designed to support student goals

  • Create a safe and nurturing learning environment

  • Guide and assess student progress

  • Participate in meetings, professional development and other school-related activities

  • Maintain accurate records of student progress

  • Enforce policies and procedures set by the school

  • Foster an atmosphere of respect and positive reinforcement

We are looking for someone with the following qualifications…

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • Post-secondary education in child development, early childhood, or equivalent preferred

  • Experience working with preschool aged children with special needs in a childcare or education setting is highly preferred

  • Has a passion for working with young children and excellent knowledge of child development

  • Ideal candidates should have experience with multiple instructional designs and differentiated strategies that support diverse learners.

  • Has the physical abilities to perform the required job duties with or without accommodation

  • Experience with Creative Curriculum, TS Gold, Pyramid Model, and Classroom Engagement Model is beneficial.

  • Able to communicate effectively and build positive relationships with students, staff and caregivers 

  • Has documentation of U.S. citizenship or eligibility to work in the U.S.

  • Must successfully meet our pre-employment background screening requirements
