Description
Individuals selected will be responsible for teaching Physical Education and Health at the Secondary level. Knowledge and skills required include expertise in Physical Education and Health instruction for students, curriculum development and delivery, classroom management, student assessment, as well as written and oral communication.

- prior experience, interest, and skill in working effectively with middle-level school students
- desire and ability to work cooperatively with other department members

- excellent classroom management skills: ability to adapt instruction to various learning levels and styles.

Education and Experience:
Commitment to working effectively with students and families from diverse cultural, ability, and economic backgrounds; demonstrated preparation, skill, and commitment to providing for the individual learning needs of all students; ability to create positive, inclusive learning environments for all students; skill in using positive, constructive disciplinary approaches; ability to organize and plan for student learning; familiarity with current teaching/learning theories; skill in establishing and maintaining positive relationships; diversity of interests and experience.

Required Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:
Continued employment is contingent upon all required licenses and certificates being maintained in active status without suspension or revocation.
- Bachelor’s degree in education, or a closely related field.
- Secondary Physical Education and Health licensure.
- Continued employment is contingent upon all required licenses and certificates being maintained in active status without suspension or revocation.
- Driver’s license.
- Valid Minnesota Teaching License
