Part-time Afternoon Shift Custodian

Location: Cherry School, Iron, MN 
Hours: Year Round Employment, Monday – Friday/Afternoon Shift 6-10 pm
Bargaining Unit: Operating Engineers, Local No. 70
Wage: $17.26/hr

Position Details:
Enjoy a rewarding position as a part time Custodian with our Cherry School! This position is responsible for the cleaning of the school premises which includes both interior and exterior job duties to provide a safe and sanitary environment for the students and staff. This position enjoys a positive environment and the opportunity to work independently following district protocols and procedures.

The following are the essential skills, education and abilities required for the position: 
 
Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to operate small equipment – such as lawnmowers, genie lifts, small tractors and power tools
• Strong attention to detail
• Time management skills
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Ability to maintain respect for student confidentiality

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 year experience in general maintenance and/or custodial/cleaning services. Additional years of experience in this area is preferable. 
• Must complete a pre-employment background check.
