Parent Educator:  Mid-State Education District ECFE Program

Mid-State Education District has openings for part-time parent educators for the 2022-23 school year.  Includes evening hours. Possible work sites include Pierz, Royalton, Swanville, and Upsala. Candidates must hold a MN Teaching License, Parent and Family Educator or Parent Educator license preferred.

Responsibilities:  

  • Develop, implement and instruct with developmentally appropriate curriculum and learning experiences for parents of children ages birth to 5 years old in ECFE parent-child classes  

  • Work collaboratively with Child Educator and Paraprofessional in providing high-quality programs in the districts assigned

  • Supporting families from diverse cultures and backgrounds

  • Attend staff meetings and other professional development as available

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrate a warm and welcoming rapport with children and parents

  • Have knowledge of child development and parenting

  • Communicate effectively and professionally

  • Possess excellent organizational and time management skills, and maintain confidentiality

  • Experience working with parents and children, ages birth  to 5 years, is desired

  • Salary based on experience and education.
