Position Purpose
Under the daily supervision and direction of the licensed special education staff and overall supervision of the School Principal and Assistant Director of Special Services, to assist in maximizing the learning experience of students with special needs.

Hours/Wages
– This position is 5.75 hours/day, plus a 30 minute unpaid lunch
      – On-site 6.25 hours/day
– Start and end times vary by site and student need, (approximate schedule 8:15-2:30)
– Student contact days only
– Starting pay $17.84/hr.

Responsibilities & Duties
– Assisting the teacher in providing instructional reinforcement and managing student educational programs in the classroom
– Implementing charting and other behavior management techniques to ensure student progress
– Assist and support student learning with academics, interpersonal skills and activities, daily living needs and social/emotional needs
– Ability to be flexible with schedules and student assignments
– Supervising and assisting students during lunch, arrival/departure from school, and other daily needs
– Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
– High school diploma or equivalent
– Ability to follow program direction as provided by teachers and administrators
– Ability to lift up to 50 pounds in weight
– Ability to demonstrate prompt, regular and reliable attendance

Salary and Benefits:
– Starting pay $17.84 (based on 2021-2022 Master Agreement)
