Student success in academics, fine arts and athletics are reasons students and families come to New Ulm.
We offer an early learning center for pre-school and kindergarten students, including a community education center. This center includes many outdoor and indoor active learning spaces. Jefferson Elementary provides programming for grades 1-4, focusing on small group instruction, responsive classroom, STEM opportunities and core curriculum. We offer a middle school structure and environment for grades 5-8, focused on advisory, exploratory and experiential learning opportunities. Our high school is for grades 9-12, offering college, vocational and work ready courses. We have many opportunities for Fine arts and athletics for all students. A Career Technical Education (CTE) Center providing students with opportunities in automotive, welding, manufacturing, fabrication, engineering, construction careers and cabinetry.

Job Summary:
Facilitate student academic growth and social growth by providing individual or small group support/reinstruction and service at the guidance/direction of certified staff. This position requires confidentiality, good communication and interpersonal skills, flexibility, teamwork, and knowledge of technology and may require heavy lifting.
Qualifications:
Experience and ability to work with students; ability to follow and carry out the classroom teacher’s instructions; familiarity with computer use and good communication skills. High School Diploma or GED required.
Days/Hours:
Hours may vary slightly depending on students needs, but hours will generally be 7:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. on all school days plus additional training dates as directed.

Dependent upon experience; Union Classification A13;
