The Richfield Public School District is now accepting applications for a Media Center Instructional Paraprofessional at Richfield Dual Language Elementary School for 2024-2025 chool year.

Position Purpose
Under the direct supervision of a certified staff member, to assist the school librarian and certified professional staff in the media center to enable students to effectively use the instructional materials in the center.
Essential Job Functions
- Assist students in locating reference and other instructional materials for the purpose of facilitating the proper and efficient use of media center books, materials and equipment.
- Assist in reinforcement in reading, language arts, mathematics, computer instruction, media and other skills.Â
- Assist in maintaining the circulation desk operations and circulation files.
- Work with students individually and in small groups to reinforce basic learning.
- Operate audio visual equipment as needed.
- Assist in cataloging and filing learning materials.
- Construct, copy, distribute and use educational materials.
Must be highly qualified:
- Completed two years of study (equaling 60 or more credit hours) from an accredited institution of higher education
- An Associate’s degree or higher
- Obtained a passing score of 460 on the MN approved assessment ParaPro test or ParaEducator, which measures math and reading skills.
Rate: $19.44-$23.05 (Based on experinece)
