Description
The Fergus Falls Public Schools have an immediate opening for a part-time Otter Preschool/ECFE Classroom Assistant.聽 This position is for 29 hours/week during student contact days.
Preschool/ECFE聽schedule (approximate): Monday-Thursday 8:00am-3:45pm with a 30 min. lunch. Schedule may include occasional evening events or classes. Flexibility in schedule is possible with the right candidate.聽Pay rate: $19/hour; and includes Earned Sick and Safe Time leave.
Education/Qualifications:
–聽High School Diploma or Equivalent
–聽Experience working with young children and parents聽
–聽The ability to work cooperatively with certified staff, parents, and young children.
–聽Prefer education related to early childhood education, CDA, or childcare field.聽
Duties/ Responsibilities:聽
Working with young children ages 0-5 and 3-5 in a classroom setting (under the supervision of a teacher):聽
路 Assist in prep of classroom: set up, clean up and activities.聽
路 Assist parents and children as needed during drop off and pick up times including getting children on and off bus
路 Assist teacher with children in the classroom and facilitating activities聽
路 Work with small groups or individual children聽
路 Assist parents and children as needed during ECFE classes
路 Give breaks for staff
路 Assist with light cleaning duties聽
路 Work with staff and parents in a professional manner
路 Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students and parents聽
路 Participate in in-service trainings聽
