Position Overview/Job Duties: On-call Preschool teacher assistant will fill in for planned or unplanned room assistant absences within the Early Childhood program at Spring Lake Park Schools. Assignment could include a preschool or an ECFE classroom, depending on the need that day. 
The candidate will be responsible for assisting the teacher in room set up and maintenance and assisting the teacher with classroom duties and student management, including helping students in learning centers and at large group times.

  • in the need to work in partnership with staff to continuously improve practices to enhance student and family engagement, creating the conditions for equity, excellence and student success; and
  • in personalizing learning for students, meeting academic, social, and emotional needs and aspirations so that each student feels valued and has a sense of belonging, leading to academic success

Qualifications
The successful candidate should have previous experience working with preschool level students.  Must have strong communication skills and experience in positive behavior management with preschool-age students.

We strongly prefer candidates who have exhibited excellence in collaboration with colleagues and an enthusiasm to work with students and their individual needs.   Preferred candidates will also have a demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning.

Salary
Hourly rate, highly competitive for the region.
