Occupational Therapist
Long Term Substitute –Â approximately February 8, 2025 – April 29, 2025Â

Provide direct and indirect Occupational Therapy (OT) to identified students.

Train special and general education staff, parents and other team members on specific interventions, equipment; observes students in various educational environments and provides recommendations; adapts and/or modifies materials.

Implement educational plans as described on individual IEP and provide information for building staff as needed.

Maintain appropriate records and reports. Collect data on progress on goals and objectives for each student and meet all required timelines.

Communicate effectively with students, families, educators, and administrators regarding student programs and progress.

Work cooperatively with general education teachers and staff and provide building consultation, support, and training as needed.

Create and maintain a professional working relationship with families and staff.

Conduct assessments, comprehensive report results, and follow Minnesota state criteria in area(s) of special education eligibility as well as mandated timelines.

Determine and complete purchase orders for supplies, materials, and equipment based on student needs.

Participate in building and District level professional development activities.

Measure and document therapy outcomes and attendance. Third Party Billing for students who receive services and qualify for Medical Assistance.

Collaborate with the district special education team to share best practices and new therapy initiatives.

Adhere to federal and state statutes and rules related to individualized service and due process.

Other duties as assigned. Perform all other duties and responsibilities in certification areas as directed by the Director of Student Services and/or the Building Principal.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Fully licensed Occupational Therapist in the State of MN
Salary per the SAVEA Master Contract
