Forest Lake Area School District is currently seeking applicants for the position of Full time (1.0 FTE) Occupational Therapist to start on April 21, 2025.

STARTING SALARY FOR 1.0 FTE BA – MA+40 :/ PAY RANGE
$45,018 – $80,226
Licensed teaching experience considered for higher placement (Prorated based on FTE)

Job Description:
To provide occupational therapy services to students age birth to grade 12+
Â
Responsibilities:
-
Identify the needs of students with disabilities through appropriate evaluation procedures
-
Plan, develop and implement appropriate interventions to support student progress
-
Collaborate in the development of IEP’s and IFSP’s
-
Communicate with students, parents and staff to support student progress
-
Monitor student progress and collaborate with teams to implement best practices
-
Maintain records accurately as required by state laws and district policies
-
Complete Third Party Billing requirements for students who are eligible
-
Attend department, district and parent meetings
-
Travel to and from schools or community sites to provide school OT service
-
Other job-related duties as assigned

Specific Qualifications or Licenses Required:
-
Occupational Therapist National Board Certification and certification with the MN Department of Health required.

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Occupational Therapy

Ability to work as a part of an educational team
-
Strong communication skills
-
Previous work experience in a school setting or previous experience working with children is beneficial
