Description:
This is a full time (1.0 FTE) Occupational Therapist position for the 2025-2026 School Year.Â
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy required.
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy preferred.
- Minnesota Occupational Therapy license
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of occupational therapy techniques adapted to the educational setting.
- Knowledge of disabilities and medical conditions.
- Knowledge of laws, rules and regulations governing students with disabilities in Minnesota Public Schools, and local rules and regulations governing services to students with disabilities.
- Knowledge of school and department policies, procedures, guidelines and philosophy.
- Ability to prepare and maintain student records and reports.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.
- Ability to determine, prioritize, schedule and complete complex job assignments and projects without supervision and within the time allocated.
- Ability to operate independently and effectively while following established procedures and protocols.
- Ability to anticipate and/or recognize problems and/or complications and to determine and implement practical corrective solutions to problems and issues.
- Ability to communicate appropriately with individuals regardless of socioeconomic status or intellectual capacity.
- Ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills when completing unique or complex job assignments.
- Ability to determine what is confidential and proprietary information and how to use that information in a proper manner.
- Ability to communicate positively about the school district at all times.

Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and treat children with a range of diagnoses such as autism/PPD, Down Syndrome, Developmental delays and disabilities, and feeding disorders.
- Treat children who may have difficulties with daily activities, physical development of gross and fine motor skills, and visual and perceptual abilities.
- Identify and train children, schools staff, and caregivers in the use of adaptive equipment.
- Work with a number of interdisciplinary staff members to develop Individual Family Service Plans and Individual Education Programs for children.Â
- Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by their supervisor or district administrator.
