Eastern Carver County Schools’ Building and Grounds Department is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for all students, staff and visitors. Our team provides daily support to maintain building systems and structures, service the grounds, provide custodial services, oversee construction and renovation projects, maintain compliance with building and fire codes, safety and environmental regulations, oversee security and fire alarm systems in all buildings.

Position Start Date: ASAP
Days/Hours:  Monday – Friday; 2:00pm – 10:30pm
Salary:  $25.95/hr. + $0.40/hr. shift differential

$500 Hiring Bonus: $250 after probationary period (120 days); $250 after one year
$250 Referral Bonus

 

Responsible to:  Director of Buildings & Grounds
Position Purpose:  The night lead custodian coordinates the service for all user groups, the cleaning tasks and operation of various types of cleaning equipment to care for and maintain assigned buildings and related facilities; and perform related work as required.

Major Job Functions/Specific Tasks:  See attachment.
Education/Certification Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • State of Minnesota Boilers Licenses (ckass dependnt of size of equipment in building) – within two years of placement
  • MN Register Unlicensed Electrician – within one year of placement
  • Pool Operator License if assigned building has a pool – within one year of placement
  • Certified Building Operator Certificate preferred
  • OSHA Standard, Right to Know, Blood Borne Pathogens (provided upon hire)

Compensation and Yearly Duration of Employment:  This position is posted as a full-time (40 hrs/week), twelve (12) month position. In addition, the pay includes additional compensation for each level of boilers license and other applicable licenses when licenses are obtained.  Eligibile for benefits as negotiated with Union Local 70 and District 112 plus enrollment in Minnesota’s largest retirement pension! This position is eligible for overtime and comp time.
