The Sauk Rapids-Rice Public School District No. 47 is seeking an experienced and innovative Multilingual / English Learner Instructor to provide services to elementary school students within Sauk Rapids-Rice Public Schools. Located in Sauk Rapids and Rice, MN, minutes from downtown St. Cloud and approximately an hour northwest of the Twin Cities, Sauk Rapids-Rice Public Schools is the focal point of a growing rural area of Central Minnesota and provides quality programs to approximately 4,100 students.

Primary Responsibilities:
– Provide an educational atmosphere where students have the opportunity to fulfill their potential for intellectual, physical and psychological growth
– Implement instructional activities that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences
– Identify, select and modify instructional resources to meet the needs of the students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs
– Assist in assessing changing curricular needs and offers plans for improvement
– Provide a positive environment in which students are encouraged to be actively engaged in the learning process
– Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with students, parents, and other professionals on a regular basis
– Collaborate with peers to enhance the instructional environment
– Collaborate with District Assessment Coordinator on testing and administer ACCESS to all English learners
– Continue to evaluate and provide recommendations for programming
– Primarily working with elementary aged students

– Ability to work with diverse learners at all education levels (Pre-K through grade 12)
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills
– Desire to work collaboratively with students, parents/guardians, staff and administration
– Strong classroom management skills
– Excellent organization and multi-tasking skills
– Ability to be flexible in meeting the needs of students and families
– Knowledge of best practices and technology available for English learners
Required Qualifications:
Valid Minnesota teaching license with an English as a Second Language endorsement
Preferred Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s Degree in relevant subject area
– Degree or concentration in English as a Second Language instruction
Contract:
1.0 FTE beginning during the 2024-2025 school year.Â
