Assignment:
Assist with practices three times per week as well as games April-June.

Primary Objective:
Provide coaching and instruction for a boys volleyball program for grades 9-12.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Coach volleyball participants at 3 practices per week as well as weeknight games. Practices will be held on Sunday, Monday and Wednesday throughout the season.
  2. Help all players develop to their full potential
  3. Support and promote Minnetonka Community Education and Minnetonka Volleyball’s philosophies in regards to coach and player development. 
  4. Implement program goals and guidelines
  5. Effectively communicate the practice and game schedule with parents and participants.
  6. Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
  7. Promote respect for officials, press, opposing coaches, visiting teams, parents, fans, students, athletes, fellow coaches, and administrators
  8. Ensure that all participants follow MCEC and Minnetonka School district guidelines for code of conduct. 

Job Qualifications:

  1. Extensive experience in volleyball coaching.
  2. Evidence of successful coaching experience, ability to teach fundamental skills
  3. Positive, enthusiastic, respectful attitude
  4. Ability to relate well to parents and participants.
  5. Ability to work in a collaborative coaching atmosphere
  6. Commitment to program’s high standards
  7. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
