Summary
Description
Essential Functions and Description of Position: Substitute, on an on call basis, for in the High School and Elementary. As directed by the teacher, case manager, or principal, paraprofessionals provide guidance, support, concept review/practice, living skills support, and perform other duties based on specific programs and individual student needs.Â
Hours: As needed
Salary: $14.00/hour
QUALIFICATIONS
 Education:
-
High school diploma or equivalent required
 Preferred Work Experience:
-
Experience in or knowledge working with children
  Special Knowledge/Essential Skills:Â
-
Flexibility to work within a variety of settings including: one-on-one, small and large groups, multiple settings
-
Ability to work cooperatively with teachers, students and their families.Â
-
Accepting of individual student needs and limitations
-
Ability to be cooperative and flexible in daily changes regarding assigned duties, supervision, and daily schedules.

Accepts direction from supervising staff in a professional manner.

Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively with staff, students, and administration.Â

Demonstrates a positive attitude and the ability to resolve conflicts in a professional manner.Â
    Physical / Working demands:Â

Must be able to lift, pull, and move a minimum of 50 lbs

Duties may include the supervision of students during recess or outdoor class activities in cold or below freezing temperatures.

Supervises students to ensure student safety

Performs other duties as assigned by the supervising teacher, case manager, or building principal/assistant principal
