The middle school math teacher will be developed, supported, and guided by the Principal. The middle school math teacher’s major responsibilities are:
Implement curriculum and activities to meet the academic standards, participate in collaborative curriculum development, grade-level activities, and school-wide functions. Be accountable for student’s achievement of academic standards; communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues. Effectively implement Responsive Classroom techniques. Candidates for this position should have strong leadership, organizational, communication, and decision-making skills; and the ability to identify learning challenges, analyze, process, and make judgments with the sensitivity that is necessary to lead and coordinate programs for students.
