We offer an early learning center for preschool and kindergarten students, including a community education center. This center includes many outdoor and indoor active learning spaces. Jefferson Elementary provides programming for grades 1-4, focusing on small group instruction, responsive classroom, STEM opportunities and core curriculum. We offer a middle school structure and environment for grades 5-8, focused on advisory, exploratory and experiential learning opportunities. Our high school is for grades 9-12, offering college, vocational and work ready courses. We have many opportunities for Fine arts and athletics for all students. A Career Technical Education (CTE) Center providing students witn opportunities in automotive, welding, manufacturing, fabrication, engineering, construction careers and cabinetry.

Middle School Language Arts Teacher (1.0 FTE)
Job Summary:
The certified teacher develops lesson plans, conducts classroom instruction, evaluates, and assesses both instructional material and student performance. The teacher interprets student progress and communicates regularly with parents about student strengths, weaknesses and/or programs. The teacher is a member of an interdisciplinary team and works collaboratively with colleagues to make decisions about team programming and supporting students through intervention and enrichment.

Desired Qualifications:
* 5-12 Communications Arts/Literature or 5-8 Endorsement in English Language Arts
* Understanding of middle school philosophy and the teaming concept
* Understanding of state and national standards in the area of Language Arts
* Understanding and experience in utilizing instructional best practices to engage middle level students in learning
* Understanding and experience in assessment and data driven decision-making

Dependent on experience; per Master Teacher Agreement; Benefit package available
