Job Title: Lower School PE Teacher
Job Location: Sejong Academy Charter School, 2410 Stillwater Road E. Maplewood, MN 55119

The successful candidate will provide highly-effective and high-quality instruction in the area of PE to our Lower School students. We will consider a candidate who has a license in one of the other core areas who has significant experience working with EL students or teaching in Korea and a strong interest in wellbeing and health. Korean language and cultural interest is desired but not required for this position.
Essential Functions: Essential functions, as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include any of the following representative duties, knowledge, and skills. Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Provide effective, developmentally-appropriate and differentiated instruction for diverse learners and with all grade levels.

Regularly assess student learning of subject content and language using multiple forms of assessment.

Promote cooperation, assertion, responsibility, empathy and self-control among students, as well as conflict resolution strategies. Establish developmentally-appropriate behavioral expectations for students.

Collaborate with classroom teachers to develop and collaborate on MN state standards

Attend Staff meetings and serve on staff committees as required.

Meet Sejong Academy’s standards for performance and attendance.

Maintain a focus on the positive energy to maintain a healthy school climate.
Qualifications:

Current MN teaching license in PE
