Sejong Academy is seeking an English Language Arts teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. The successful candidate will provide highly-effective and high-quality instruction in the area of English Language Arts to our High School Students. The successful candidate will have a homeroom and then teach the Language Arts classes during the school day. Korean language and cultural interest is desired but not required for this position.
Essential Functions: Essential functions, as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include any of the following representative duties, knowledge, and skills. Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Provide effective, developmentally-appropriate and differentiated instruction for diverse learners in grades 7-12 Language Arts

Regularly assess student learning of subject content and language using multiple forms of assessment.

Promote cooperation, assertion, responsibility, empathy and self-control among students, as well as conflict resolution strategies. Establish developmentally-appropriate behavioral expectations for students.

Collaborate with classroom teachers to develop and collaborate on Social Studies standards

Meet Sejong Academy’s standards for performance and attendance.

Maintain a focus on the positive energy to maintain a healthy school climate.
Qualifications:

Current MN teaching license in English Language Arts or middle school endorsement in English Language Arts
