Math Masters Advisor
 

Job Description:

Le Sueur-Henderson Elementary is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Math Masters Advisor to provide mentorship, support, and instructional guidance to students aiming to excel in mathematics. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping students deepen their understanding of mathematical concepts, develop problem-solving skills, and prepare for advanced math competitions and coursework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and group advising to students pursuing advanced mathematics.
  • Develop personalized learning plans and instructional strategies to support student success.
  • Mentor students participating in math competitions and extracurricular math programs.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to align curriculum goals with students’ academic aspirations.
  • Identify and address gaps in students’ mathematical knowledge, offering targeted support.
  • Coordinate workshops, tutoring sessions, and math club activities.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in mathematics education and math competitions.
  • Promote a growth mindset and a love for mathematics among students.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in teaching or tutoring mathematics. 
  • Strong knowledge of mathematical concepts.
  • Experience working with students in math competitions or advanced math programs.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for mentoring and supporting students in their academic growth.
