Unaffiliated Level 4
Salary Range: $93,525- $114,233 DOE

Position Description: 
Responsible for providing support to the district regarding building technology equipment related to computer, fire, security, safety, telecommunications and other electronic related media. Responsibilities may include: installing, servicing, fielding support requests for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues; procuring supplies; maintaining work documentation; and monitoring account information for database admission. May oversee electronic repair service work completed by contractors.

Responsibilities: 

  • Performs installation and general repairs of building technology equipment, troubleshoots complex problems associated with applicable building technology infrastructure; testing and recommending new electronics equipment, and maintaining an inventory of equipment.
  • Oversee contractors performing electronic and technical services work may involve monitoring completion of maintenance tasks, and performing quality checks.
  • Generates reports; organizes and maintains files and records; and assists in the creation and updating of department documentation and end user tutorials.

Knowledge Requirements: 

  • Reading, interpreting, and applying technical information;
  • Locating defects in equipment;
  • Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting building technology systems;
  • Training end-users;
  • Providing customer service;
  • Preparing and maintaining records and reports;
  • Communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.
