Qualifications:Â
- Maintenance experience in a public or commercial building, including preventative maintenance and the ability to work independently.
- 2nd Class C boilers license required, 1st Class C boilers license preferred.
- Hands on working experience with mechanical and electrical equipment including building automation systems.
- Ability to repair grounds and custodial equipment.
- Must have a good attendance record and be punctual.
- Must have the desire to work in a cooperative manner and team environment.
- Must have positive work performance evaluations. Must not have any recent disciplinary actions.
- Must conduct a positive interview and receive a good reference from current and previous supervisors.
- Must be physically qualified to perform assigned duties including lifting up to 50lbs on a regular basis and display flexibility in cleaning and maintenance assignments.
- Must receive a minimum score of 50% correct on the exam.
- Demonstrated experience and proficiency working with a culturally, ethnically, racially and socioeconomically diverse school community is preferred
Responsibilities:
- Assist with cafeteria duties 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.
- Repair and maintain building systems such as boilers, chillers, cooling towers, RTU’s, DDC. Assist the building and district mechanical specialists.
- Maintain PRV’s and roof drains, clean roof decks and cooling coils as needed or assigned.
- Divide maintenance and custodial work and time as needed or assigned.
- Clean building areas and move and assemble furniture, etc.
- Assist with building “set-ups” and “tear-downs” as needed or assigned.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
