Long Term Substitute – Special Education Teacher, 2024-25 School Year

Qualified Long-Term Substitutes holding the appropriate licensure will be compensated at an hourly rate of $20/hour for the first 19 days of the assignment and a daily rate of pay commensurate with training and experience not to exceed Step 2 thereafter.  

Responsibilities: The long-term substitute teacher replaces the regularly appointed teacher in his/her absence and provides as closely as possible the same successful instructional and learning environment that would exist if the regularly appointed teacher were in attendance. The substitute teacher is responsible for carrying out the lesson plans and Individualized Education Plans of the regularly appointed teacher for whom he/she is substituting.

Qualifications: Qualified candidates applying for this vacancy will hold, or be eligible to hold, a Special Education license issued by the Minnesota Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board.
