Student success in academics, fine arts and athletics are reasons students and families come to New Ulm.
We offer an early learning center for preschool and kindergarten students, including a community education center. This center includes many outdoor and indoor active learning spaces. Jefferson Elementary provides programming for grades 1-4, focusing on small group instruction, responsive classroom, STEM opportunities and core curriculum. We offer a middle school structure and environment for grades 5-8, focused on advisory, exploratory and experiential learning opportunities. Our high school is for grades 9-12, offering college, vocational and work ready courses. We have many opportunities for fine arts and athletics for all students. A Career Technical Education (CTE) Center provides students with opportunities in automotive, welding, manufacturing, fabrication, engineering, construction careers and cabinetry.

Long Term Substitute Elementary School – 2nd Grade

Job Description:
· Implement lesson plans left by the regular teacher, if available.
· Prepare and deliver instructional lessons in line with the school’s curriculum.
· Manage classroom behavior and provide a positive learning environment.
· Grade assignments, tests, and manage student assessments.
· Communicate regularly with students, parents, and administrators.
· Attend meetings or professional development as required.
Salary:
Approved Long Term Substitute teachers are paid off the base salary in the Teacher master agreement at the start of their assignment.
Qualifications:
Current MN Elementary Teacher license qualified to teach grades 1-4
Position Start/End Date:
Approxiamately January 6, 2025 – April 30, 2025
