We offer an early learning center for pre-school and kindergarten students, including a community education center. This center includes many outdoor and indoor active learning spaces. Jefferson Elementary provides programming for grades 1-4, focusing on small group instruction, responsive classroom, STEM opportunities and core curriculum.  We offer a middle school structure and environment for grades 5-8, focused on advisory, exploratory, and experiential learning opportunities.  Our high school is for grades 9-12, offering college, vocational and work ready courses. We have many opportunities for fine arts and athletics for all students.  A Career Technical Education (CTE) Center, provides students opportunities in automotive, welding, manufacturing, fabrication, engineering, construction careers and cabinetry.

LONG TERM Substitute Teacher– Early Childhood Special Education – Washington Learning Center
 
Location:                               
Washington Learning Center, 910 14th North, New Ulm, MN           
                       
Job Description:                  
MN Special Education Teacher – MN Teaching License required with a desired emphasis in Early Childhood Special Education.
Teacher will work with Pre-K students in preschool setting and manage a caseload.
 
Desired Skills:                      
1.  Experience with behavior intervention and management strategies.
2.  Experience with social skills instruction and interventions.
3.  Experience with play-based learning.
4.  Knowledgeable in multi-tiered systems of support.
5.  Ability to organize and carry out individualized programs for children.
6.  Ability to work collaboratively with a team to collect and analyze data.
7.  Ability to communicate with parents and colleagues.
8.  Ability to train and guide paraprofessionals.
 
Salary:                                   
Approved Long Term Substitute teachers are paid off of the base salary in the Teacher master agreement at the start of their assignment.
 
Qualifications:                     
Current MN Teacher license required.
