Monday-Friday (8:15 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.)
Mid-August to mid-June (207 days per year)
Position is not scheduled to work during winter break or spring break.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Performs receptionist/clerical duties including greeting visitors, answering multiple incoming phone lines, providing customer service, distributing mail, office organization, ordering supplies, etc.
  2. Supports the Principal and Assistant Principal, as needed.
  3. Maintains school records and files while observing data privacy requirements.
  4. Coordinates the building’s ordering and distribution of supplies. Oversees inventories and storage of supplies. Coordinates purchase orders and all capital purchases. Maintains all equipment and leases.
  5. Works closely with the building principal in coordinating and monitoring the building budget, assigning budget codes, making deposits, transferring charges, and dispersing/maintaining the building petty cash fund.
  6. Collaborates with the building principal to create the weekly staff newsletter.
  7. Coordinates and maintains student lockers.
  8. Assist administration with coordination of MCA testing.
  9. Plans and coordinates Parent/Teacher conferences, including set-up in Skyward.
  10. Assigns and supervises parent volunteers, when needed.
  11. Serves as back-up clerical support for other clerical employees in the building.

Qualifications:

  1. Must have a comfort level to perform school announcements, emergency procedures and communications via PA system.
  2. Evidence of successful work experience using advanced features of Microsoft Office, Google Docs and Sheets.
  3. Evidence of ability to process documents at a minimum typing rate of 50 wpm.
  4. Evidence of the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in an office atmosphere of constant interruption.
  5. Evidence of the ability to maintain a good rapport with co-workers and cooperate in providing service.
  6. Evidence of flexibility is a high priority with the ability to maintain a positive, helpful attitude.
  7. Evidence of previous successful experience in an office assistant role.
  8. Evidence of strong office assistant skills and computer competency. 
  9. Evidence of the ability to operate and maintain office equipment.
  10. Evidence of ability to maintain confidentiality of school-related information.
  11. Evidence of a pleasant telephone manner and excellent human relations skills.
  12. Evidence of excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
  13. Evidence of attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
  14. Evidence of the ability to work with a minimum of supervision.
  15. Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisors, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.
  16. Evidence of strong organizational, communication, customer service and human relations skills.
