Level II 2nd Shift Custodian (M-F)

Riverview Elementary School 
Start Date 1/24/25

8 hours per day/40 hours per week (Year Round)

Monday  –  Friday (2:00 pm – 10:30pm)

Description:
Custodian performs general cleaning and maintenance to provide pleasant and safe surroundings for staff and students. 

Qualifications:
Prefer applicants to possess or obtain Minnesota special boiler license.  Additional pay once received.
Must demonstrate sufficient mechanical aptitude to conduct repairs and maintenance to plumbing, heating and electrical equipment.
Must demonstrate thorough knowledge of building cleaning skills.
Must be able to work evening hours.
High School diploma or equivalent.

Essential Functions:

*  Vacuum, sweep, and clean classrooms, restrooms, hallways, gyms and cafeteria, etc.

*  Set up equipment, bleachers, chairs, and tables, etc. for special events, including all community education activities; and clean up after activities.

*  Secure building area nightly.

*  Maintain evening building security.

*  Strip, wax, seal floors and hallways as needed;

*  Ability to lift 50 lbs.

*  Serve as the shift operator for the HVAC system;

*  Assist with winter grounds maintenance at building entries;

*  Perform other related duties as assigned.
