We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Cook to join our team at Avon Elementary School. This is a full-time position that requires a self-motivated and organized individual who is passionate about providing healthy and nutritious meals to students.
Responsibilities:
– Plan and prepare daily meals for students, adhering to all dietary restrictions and guidelines
– Monitor inventory levels and order necessary supplies in a timely manner
– Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, following all health and safety regulations
– Train and supervise kitchen staff, delegating tasks as needed
– Coordinate with school administration and staff to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen
– Keep accurate records of meal preparation and inventory
Requirements:
– High school diploma or equivalent
– Minimum of 2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen setting
– Knowledge of food preparation, nutrition, and food safety regulations
– Ability to lead and train kitchen staff effectively
– Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to pass a background check and drug screening test
Schedule:
7.5 hours per day
5:30 am – 1:00 pm Monday – Friday
Works on all student contact days
