Job Description:
Parnassus Preparatory School is accepting applications for a Latin teacher for the 2024-2025 school year.
1.00 FTE.

At this level, students are introduced to the basic fundamentals of Latin vocabulary and grammar, laying the foundation for their future studies. At this level, a degree in Latin or classics is not needed; most individuals who have experience with the language at a high school or college level are more than capable of delivering the material. This is an opportunity for teaching students how to find joy in learning Latin and how it can help them understand our own language.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree
- Ability and willingness to teach the classical trivium and sequence model as defined by the school
- The ability to speak and write clearly and effectively
- Conviction in the values of a rigorous liberal-arts education
- Ability to maintain an orderly classroom
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience preferred.
Appropriate MN teaching license is preferred.
Tier 3 or 4 License is preferred.
Compensation:
- Pay range: $45,150 – $81,375
- Benefits: medical, dental, Life & ADD, vision, health savings account, 403b, teachers' retirement, public employees' retirement, short-term disability, long-term disability, critical illness, accident insurance, voluntary life and AD&D, NICE Healthcare, and pet insurance.
