Duty Days Per Year:  prorated from 171

Hours Per Day:  Over lunch periods.  Various positions available throughout the district.  Hours may range from 2.75 hrs to 4.75 hrs per day.  

Type of Position:  (X)  Continuing   

Salary: (A11) according to the Nutrition Services Work Agreement  $16.96 wage

Immediate Supervisor:  Kitchen Manager at site

Qualifications:  High school diploma or equivalent required by end of probationary period; experience working with children, preferred; experience working in a school setting, preferred.

Summary of Duties for A11 positions: 
Include but are not limited to: 

  • Serving food in proper portions and following all food safety and sanitation regulations. 
  • Must be able to operate dishwasher, prepare food as needed and perform clean up tasks.   
  • Effectively and efficiently operate the POS register during meal service and must be able to provide excellent customer service to our students. 
  • Clean foodservice areas and cafeteria areas, monitor students in lunch line or lunchroom, duties include wiping tables and monitoring student behavior with appropriate discipline techniques and referring student behavior to licensed staff in the cafeteria. 
  • All A11 positions may be called upon to help in kitchen, lunch line, or cafeteria;  food storage areas or snack room, according to the daily needs of lunchroom as determined by Kitchen Manager; and therefore must be able to operate a POS, dishwasher, food service equipment, clean food service areas, equipment, and utensils; abide by all sanitation standards; must have the ability to perform kitchen work which includes standing, reaching, turning, lifting, as well as repetitive motions involved in panning, serving, and dish room; and lifting 10# continuously and additional intermittently, and occasionally up to 50#.
  • Other duties as assigned.
