     We offer an early learning center for pre-school and kindergarten students, including a community education center. This center includes many outdoor and indoor active learning spaces. Jefferson Elementary provides programming for grades 1-4, focusing on small group instruction, responsive classroom, STEM opportunities and core curriculum.  We offer a middle school structure and environment for grades 5-8, focused on advisory, exploratory and experiential learning opportunities.  Our high school is for grades 9-12, offering college, vocational and work ready courses. We have many opportunities for fine arts and athletics for all students.  A Career Technical Education (CTE) Center provides students with opportunities in automotive, welding, manufacturing, fabrication, engineering, construction careers and cabinetry.

Job Summary:                   
Under the direction of the Building Principal, the School Social Worker is responsible for providing professional assessment, direct intervention and classroom support for students who are experiencing extreme behavioral, emotional, social difficulties and for designing, training and implementing behavioral procedures and interventions to address behavior issues, behavioral management and/or crisis situations.
 
Applicants must have the ability and skills to relate to students and be sensitive to their needs, to provide a positive behavioral atmosphere for students, to work cooperatively with individuals and teams, the willingness to use technology as part of service delivery and excellent communication skills with students, staff and parents.
 
Qualifications:                   
MN School Social Worker License

30 hours per week
