Job Title: Kids World Program Staff
Description: Faribault Public Schools is seeking Program Staff to work with children at Jefferson, Lincoln or Roosevelt before and/or after school Monday through Friday. Morning program hours are 6:30am-9:00am. Afternoon program hours are 2:55pm-5:30pm. Staff working in the afternoon must be available to start at 2:45. Several shifts are available and can range from 1-4 hours per day. Split shifts also available. This position requires staff to work on non-school days. Positions will begin approximately August 28 and go through the 2024-25 school year. Summer job opportunities may be available. Required orientation/training will be held August 21.
Rate of pay:Â $15.45/hr – $21.16/hr depending on experience/education.
Additional bonus stipend may be issued quarterly as long as grant funds are available through DHS Great Start Compensation Support Program.
Essential Functions: Supervise large groups of students;Â prepare and lead activities for school-age children; keep accurate attendance; work as a team player with other staff;Â have good relationships with families; maintain a fun, positive, clean, and safe environment for the children. Daily contact with parents. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Experience working with and leading activities for preschool-age and/or school-age children. Experience in special education is preferred. Able to communicate effectively with program staff, coordinator, parents, and children. Must be at least 16 years old. Prefer some post secondary education in the fields of Education, Early Childhood or other related fields or hours worked within a school or childcare setting. First Aid and CPR certification required (willing to train if needed). College and High School Students are encouraged to apply. High School students may be eligible to earn a High School Class Credit.Â
